After millennia in space, an offshoot of an advanced civilization returns to their home planet. Instead of the warm welcome they were hoping to receive, they discover that the planet has become uninhabitable. There are no signs of life anywhere on the surface, and not even ruins mark where their people once lived. Except...

Except a vault is discovered! The walls inside are covered with the runes of an old language. Who built this structure? What is its purpose? Only by exploring the empty (?) halls can you hope to reconnect with your ancestors.

Controls: arrow keys to move, Z to scan, X to interact with menus.

My entry for the WASM4 Game Jam. Made with the WASM-4 fantasy console. Written in Rust. If the music seems to be skipping every third tone (in Firefox), try downloading the executable instead.

The minimum number of spoiler required to beat the game is 2.

Wow that was lovely!

Are you able to escape, or not?

(+1)

No. :P

Amazing visuals and flavor!

as a minesweeper nerd this is fantastic.

I adore the story! (I also already adore minesweeper.) When I got to the ending though I got a little confused about what I was meant to do.

Glad you like the story! I had a lot of fun coming up with it.

Do you mean the room with the two buttons, or the stuff after that?

(+1)

The stuff after that. I get it now, but at the time I tried to go right in every room I got to.

Ah that makes sense. I shouldn't have left that part of the game to the last day of the jam. :P
